Catholic schools teach and reinforce Christian values based on Catholic Social Teaching. The students reach out to the local and global community through several service projects, such as, preparing holiday food baskets, collecting winter hats and gloves for the needy, preparing sandwiches for the Wallingford Emergency Shelter every year, and donating casual day monies to various charities. The Church and local communities also benefit from the service hours completed by our eight grade Confirmation candidates. Our students also serve the school and parish communities by decorating the school for special events and serving as altar servers.
In addition to our school-wide community service outreach, our students participate in various extracurricular activities that develop qualities of leadership, teamwork, and service. These activities include:
Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts
| Faith in Action (Grades 5-8) – local outreach
|| Girls’ Group (Grades 3-4) – local outreach
Holy Trinity School strongly encourages a love of the arts. Each year, we host a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert. There are also a number of extracurricular activities in which our students participate.
| Christmas Concert
|| Bell Choir
Future Musicians (Grades 4-8) / Jazz Band / Spirit Chorus
Catholic Schools Week is an opportunity for the school to celebrate Catholic Schools and their contribution to local communities and the nation. At Holy Trinity School, we use the week to celebrate our students and teachers building up our school community. Events for the week include Pajama Day, Service Day, and a Pep Rally that includes relay races and a coed basketball game.
